SHIVA PANCHAYATANAM
. Panchayatana puja (IAST Pañcāyatana pūjā) is an arrangement of love (‘puja’) in the Smartism sampradaya, which is one of 4 significant sampradaya of Hinduism. It comprises of the love of five divinities set in a quincunx design the five gods being Shiva, Vishnu, Devi or Parvati, Surya and an Ishta Devata, for example, Kartikeya or Ganesha or any close to home lord of fan’s inclination. Once in a while the Ishta Devata is the 6th divinity in the mandala.
. Panchayatana puja has been credited to Adi Shankara, the eighth century CE Hindu thinker. It is a training that got mainstream in medieval India. In any case, archeological proof recommends that this training long originates before the introduction of Adi Shankara. Numerous Panchayatana mandalas and sanctuaries have been revealed that are from the Gupta Domain period, and one Panchayatana set from the town of Nand (around 24 kilometers from Ajmer) has been dated to have a place with the Kushan Realm time (pre-300 CE). The Kushan time frame set incorporates Shiva, Vishnu, Surya, Brahma and one divinity whose personality is unclear.[6] As indicated by James Harle, significant Hindu sanctuaries from first thousand years CE insert the pancayatana engineering usually, from Odisha to Karnataka to Kashmir; and the sanctuaries containing combination gods, for example, Harihara (half Shiva, half Vishnu) are set in Panchayatana revere style
